AI at Nature

We use AI to help with the work that gets in the way of thinking.
Clients work with Nature for judgement: the ability to frame a problem well, build the right evidence, and translate it into advice that informs decisions. AI helps us do that more thoroughly, more efficiently and with more room for the thinking that matters.
Everything else stays the same. Experienced people, close to the work, from start to finish.

What we believe

AI is genuinely useful. It is not a shortcut.

That distinction matters to us. We have built AI into the way Nature works because it makes the work better: supercharged research, broader context, faster synthesis, stronger outputs.

We are not trying to automate consulting. We are trying to do better consulting, with better tools.

That means we choose tools that fit the job, not tools that fit a narrative. It means we are transparent about what AI does and does not do in our work. And it means senior judgement stays where it belongs: with our people, at every stage of every engagement.

Aurora at Nature

Aurora is Nature's AI. We built it for the way we work.

Aurora is a system of tools, models and workflows we have developed and embedded across our practice, because generic AI tools do not always fit the specific demands of Nature's approach to research, strategy and evidence-based consulting.

It's model-agnostic, which means we can deploy the best available AI for each use case rather than being locked into a single platform. And it runs in a closed-loop system hosted on Australian servers, ISO-27001 certified, so sensitive client data stays secure.

Aurora is constantly being developed and refined by our team. It sits behind the work, not in front of it. The thinking, the direction and the advice remain with our people.

What stays human led

Quite a lot, deliberately.

Aurora handles process. People handle everything else.

Setting the direction of a project. Deciding what questions matter. Interpreting what the evidence actually means. Forming a view. Challenging ideas. Presenting the recommendation. Taking accountability for the advice. These are not tasks we are looking to automate. They are the reason clients work with us.

Our senior consultants remain involved at every stage, not just at the beginning and end. That is not a policy. It is how we think good consulting works.

How Aurora helps the work

Aurora supports our teams across the project journey, from gathering and processing information to synthesising findings and strengthening outputs. It doesn’t replace any stage of the work. It gives our people more room to think, interpret and advise.

Step 1

Problem framing

AI-assisted secondary research and landscape scanning

Aurora helps us scan wider and faster, bringing in category context, competitor activity and market signals earlier. That means sharper briefs, stronger context and fewer blind spots. Aurora's deep research tool and advanced multi-step reasoning sit behind this work.

Step 2

Evidence base

Harnessing AI to process, synthesise and strengthen the evidence

Aurora helps organise large inputs, surface patterns and reduce repetitive handling. That gives our team more time for analysis, interpretation and judgement. Survey optimisation, cognitive pre-testing, verbatim coding and quant and qual data analysis all run through Aurora at this stage.

Step 3

Delivery

Making insight more accessible through AI-assisted outputs

Aurora helps pressure-test logic, identify gaps and shape clearer outputs for different stakeholders. Simulated segment personas, multimodal outputs and podcast and video avatars mean insight lands in formats that are easier to use, share and act on.

What this means for clients

Practically, working with Nature today looks like this.

More time on the real problem. Less time on groundwork that does not require senior thinking. A broader evidence base, drawn from more sources and processed more completely. Outputs that have been subject to more rigorous review. Recommendations that are better informed and more clearly reasoned.

And experienced consultants who are still doing the work, not managing a process from a distance.

We think that is what clients should expect from an advisory firm using AI properly. We are working to make sure it is what they get from us.
