Our client was preparing to enter a crowded beauty and wellness space and needed sharper relevance with Gen Z and Millennial women. Our objective wasn’t to generate more insight. It was to give the business a clear go-to-market direction it could back with conviction.
We designed the work as a clear sequence. Early qualitative work surfaced beauty motivations and habits, the language people use to describe trust, and the cues behind credibility. We then pressure-tested claims and proof points in mini groups, before moving into quantitative validation once the strongest positioning hypotheses were clear. This helped separate what had real traction from what was simply noise.
The work resolved into a positioning anchored in trust. Proof points focused on outcomes, giving the brand clear cues for what to say, how to say it, and what not to pursue. Just as importantly, it clarified the trade-offs, so the team could choose a direction with eyes open.
This project provided actionable advice for our client to avoid chasing trends and instead pursue a differentiated direction grounded in evidence. It encouraged a more focused and streamlined innovation roadmap, fostered stronger internal alignment, and informed the foundation for a long-term strategy aimed at sustainable growth.
