Andrew Zylstra

Senior Consultant

With a background in communications, international business, and politics, Andrew has cultivated an interest in how consumers and organisations interact with one another, particularly amid our changing global landscape.

During his year in the public sector, Andrew gained experience working across data analysis and insights, as well as policy development which, crucially, involves managing the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.

Andrew joined the Nature team to pursue his passion for data-driven storytelling, helping organisations adapt to the world of today and work towards achieving sustainable business growth. With every project, Andrew aims to see the person behind the figures, bringing a more humanistic approach to quantitative research.

  • A self-proclaimed film buff, Andrew watches a concerning number of flicks, either at home or frequenting his local cinema—with a special shout-out to my four-man Movie Club, born out of Melbourne’s first lockdown and still going strong nearly two years later.
  • As an avid hiker, Andrew has hiked in some of the world’s most beautiful locations, from the High Tatras in Slovakia and Caucasus Mountains in Georgia, all the way to the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal, and finally to Melbourne’s own backyard, the Dandenong Ranges.
  • Andrew spent 60,561 minutes listening to music last year (thanks for the stats, Spotify Wrapped), and this would’ve been an even higher figure if live music events were as common as they once used to be.
