With an education background in psychology, media studies, and sociology, James is curious about what drives consumer thoughts, feelings & behaviours, and how they interact with the world around them.
He began his career in CATI facilities, exposed to the nuts and bolts of data collection for market and social research programs. Combining this with his psychology studies led him to a Melbourne-based market research agency – a setting he’s remained in since.
Over the years, James has worked across four agencies getting hands-on experience to all stages of the research process. Applying his quantitative experience to a wide range of client sectors; from FMCG concept testing to large-scale national brand trackers.
The constant variety keeps him engaged in his work. Every new brand, product, or category presents fresh questions to answer and problems to solve, all in service of helping clients make better, evidence-based decisions.
